NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Special programs related to the summer reading game “Dream Big!” will be presented in the main library’s Ossie Davis Theater this Wednesday in addition to the other weekly workshops for children offered at the New Rochelle Public Library this summer.
Younger children ages 2-5 should attend the earlier sessions while the second session is for older children aged 5 and up.
Two events are scheduled for July 25:
At 10:30 a.m., one of the library’s most popular entertainers for children, Zev Haber, will return for a spectacular show of music and interactive fun. This 45-minute performance is geared towards children ages 2-5 and their caregivers.
At 2:00 p,m, "Muppets Take Manhattan" will be featured for children 5 years and older. “Making it Big” is the theme of the film as Kermit, Miss Piggy, and their friends take their college variety show to Broadway and soon realize it’s not as easy as they thought. The film is 94-minutes, rated G, and is free.
Programs are made possible by the Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library.
