NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The League of Women Voters of New Rochelle announced upcoming cable television shows and live events.

The cable show, "City People and Issues," will feature Deborah Minchin, a New Rochelle High School teacher and finalist in the N.Y. State Teacher of the Year Award. The program is on Cablevision Channel 76 on Mondays, 7 p.m. and Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9 p.m., and will soon be on demand on Vimeo.

The forums open at 6:30 p.m. and begin at 7:00 p.m.

On Friday, Oct 16, the LWV will host Commissioner of Development Luiz Aragon, who will discuss proposals for downtown development. This presentation is part of the Coffee and Conversation series at the New Rochelle Public Plaza. These presentations begin at 9:30 a.m.
