New Rochelle Library's Disney Hit Parade Continues

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The next installment of the New Rochelle Library's Disney Hit Parade film series will be the 1975 movie The Apple Dumpling Gang.

This classic comedy, which includes actors Bill Bixby and Don Knotts, will be shown at 6 p.m. July 30.

The story involves three young orphans who join forces with a couple of incompetent outlaws after stumbling upon a huge golden nugget. Together, they stage a robbery in order to ward off greedy townspeople, yet they cross paths with a group of sharpshooters trying to thwart their plans.

This film is free and will be shown on a big screen in the air-conditioned Ossie Davis Theatre. The Disney Hit Parade film series will end Aug. 6 with a showing of Escape to Witches Mountain.
