NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y -- The New Rochelle Library's town meeting has been moved to Feb. 27.

The New Rochelle Public Library's meeting was originally set for Feb. 3. Representatives did not elaborate on the reason for the meeting change.

The library is inviting residents to attend the meeting to help with the planning of a strong a Five-Year Strategic Plan to best meet the needs of New Rochelle’s ever-changing community.

Library Development Solutions of Princeton, N.J., will facilitate the discussion of the hour-long meeting, which provide the opportunity to discuss ways in which the Library can improve its services, collections, policies and facility.

“Residents who are frequent or infrequent library users are encouraged to participate,” said Tom Geoffino, library director. “This is an important process that will help guide a bright future for the library and the greater community. Maximum public participation will ensure a relevant and realistic plan.”

The library is between Lawton Street and Memorial Highway. A light supper will be served before the meeting, between 6:30 and 6:50 p.m.

Residents can fill out a 13-question survey on the library’s website .
