The library will also hold a free introductory video-making course on Saturday from 10:30 a.m.-noon and an editing 101 course on Monday from 6-7:30 p.m.
The contest is open to New Rochelle residents entering grades nine-12. Teens will create a 60- to 90-second short following the theme, and their entries will be judged by a panel of industry professionals.
First prize is $1,000; second prize is $500; and the third-place winner will take home $250. Submissions are due by midnight Monday, Sept. 7.
