On Sunday, Nov. 16, historian and musician Rick Spencer will sing in the narrated concert “To End All Wars: Music of World War One.”

The concert will be held from 3-4 p.m. in the Ossie Davis Theater. A donation of $2 to benefit Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library is suggested.

On Thursday, Nov. 20, professor George Fernandez will present the digital slide program “The Golden Age of Illustration and the Great War.”

During the World War I era, the advent of four-color printing empowered people and organizations to distribute propaganda via posters. New Rochelle artists such as Howard Christy Chandler, Joseph Leyendecker and Coles Phillips designed the wartime posters.

The free program will be held from 7-8 p.m in the Ossie Davis Theater.

On Friday, Nov. 21, city historian Barbara Davis will present the digital slide program “New Rochelle’s Part in the Great War.”

The free program is part of the League of Women Voters monthly coffee and conversation program.

“New Rochelle’s Part in the Great War” will be held from 9:30-11 a.m. in the library’s meeting room.

Complimentary coffee and light refreshments will be served.

The New Rochelle Public Library is at One Library Plaza. For more information, call 914-632-7878.
