NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – New Rochelle High School is hosting a stargazing event Thursday at the school’s planetarium, according to a press release.
The event will include educational information about the summer solstice, winter solstice, autumnal equinox, and vernal equinox.
Also, astronomers anticipate there will be a “spectacular view” of the conjunction of Venus and Jupiter the evening of June 30. New Rochelle High staff members will show Thursday's attendees where to look for that planetary event.
Doors open at 6:45 p.m. and the free program begins at 7 p.m.
New Rochelle High School is at 265 Clove Road.
