New Rochelle Garden Club To Hold Annual Flower Show

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The New Rochelle Garden Club will hold its annual December flower show Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. in the Elks Lodge, 19 The Boulevard, New Rochelle.

The show, themed after "A Christmas Carol" by Charles Dickens, features items judged in design and horticulture.

Entries are judged before the show’s opening.
Admission is free.

Club members will also give holiday gift baskets to patients at the Visiting Nurse Service of New York.

Club members also decorated green holiday wreaths, which were distributed to libraries, senior citizen centers, shelters, day nurseries and the Montrose Veterans Hospital two weeks ago.

Major Traffic Delays On Eastbound I-287 Wednesday

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. - Eastbound traffic on I-287 was moving very slowly Wednesday afternoon for several miles.

According to several reports, traffic was moving less than 25 mph from the Saw Mill River Parkway in Elmsford to east of the Bronx River Parkway in West Harrison.
