The market is on North Avenue, at Huguenot Park, in front of the New Rochelle High School and will be open every Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. through Nov. 20.

"The Rockstars" of the Beth El Day Camp will return to the market July 3 through Aug. 8 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.. The Rockstars are a group of 8-year-old girls, led by camp director Julie Rockowitz.

They act as “Food Ambassadors” to the market. They learn about local food from the market growers and then create a recipe that features the farmers’ produce.

In 2015, the theme of Down to Earth Farmers Market is Every Food Has a Season. Every week at New Rochelle’s Down to Earth Farmers Market, the vendors bring the freshest foods of the seasonal harvest.

As the seasons change, Down to Earth Markets’ recipe program will feature full market-sourced meals with something for vegetarians and omnivores alike. Customers are invited to explore the seasons through one dish or all.
