Mariano Rivera Visits New Rochelle Public Library For Book Signing

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Legendary New York Yankees pitcher Mariano Rivera will sign copies of his autobiography, “The Closer,” at the New Rochelle Public Library on Thursday, May 28.

Rivera is volunteering his time for the Friends of the New Rochelle Library, as the organization is raising funds to go towards a new bookstore for the library.

The library will hold two separate events on the evening of the 28th, as there will be a public signing with Rivera from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

There will also be a presentation and reception from 7:45 to 8:30 p.m., where Rivera will speak at the library's Ossie Davis Theater, refreshments will be available and copies of the book will be available for Rivera to sign.

Tickets can be purchased for either event by emailing or calling the library’s Community Relations Office at either communityrelations@nrpl.org or (914) 813-3706. The signing is $50 per person and the presentation/reception will be $125 per person.

Rivera will not be available to sign any other baseball paraphernalia.
