Residents are asked to bring new, unwrapped toys for children and youth up to 18 years old. The Maisano family works with the Westchester Marine Corps League and U.S. Marine Corps Reserves to have the toys distributed to kids in the Westchester area, including those from Hope Community Services in New Rochelle. “This event is my family’s favorite day of the year,” said Maisano, also a Marine Corps veteran. “With the help of my wife and son, I have been hosting this Toys for Tots drive for over fifteen years, and it really represents the true meaning of Christmas. We are so thankful for all our friends who come to this event every year to deliver a toy, gift card or check. It's like an assembly line of smiling faces as our guests truly understand that it's better to give than receive during the holiday season.
“We are only successful because of the support of so many kind people. I’m sure Saturday will be another big success, and we will help a lot of kids in need to have a better holiday this year.”
