The festive family event is for kids ages 2 to 10, who can ring in the New Year with an afternoon full of fun activities.

While the highlight of the event is always the countdown to a 3,000-plus balloon drop at noon, this year’s program will also feature a meet and greet with New York Ranger alum Ron Greschner, as well as face painting, arts and crafts, kiddy rides, clowns, wheel of chance, games, snacks, goody bag and much more.

Following the the balloon drop, families are invited to spend the rest of the afternoon at New Roc’s complex to complete their New Year’s celebration.

Families will also receive free backpack goodie bags, produced compliments of Laz Parking, filled with gifts ranging from FunFuzion ride card, juice and snacks, free meal vouchers, coupons from Modell’s, and more.

For the second year in a row, the event will support the Westchester Children’s Museum through a $10 donation per family of four when registering for the New Roc City event.

The Children’s Museum is an interactive learning space providing children, families and school groups the opportunity to nurture curiosity and ignite imagination through creative hands-on exploration. The museum is located at 100 Playland Parkway in Rye.

Preregistration for this event is required. Families can register online and download their entry pass at www.newrochelledowntown.com.

“We are excited to invite the community to welcome 2017 at New Roc City in a fun, safe, daytime celebration," said Susan Vinales, property manager of New Roc City. " This event has become something Westchester families look forward to every holiday and we are pleased to be able to support the Westchester Children’s Museum again this year."
