A Jazz Concert In New Rochelle Highlights Westchester Weekend Events

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Meet the former First Lady, groove to some jazz, watch a man eat fire, learn how to DJ and more in Westchester this weekend.

1. New Rochelle's Alvin and Friends presents George Coleman and The New Breed on Friday, June 27 at 7:30 p.m and 9:30 p.m.

Roscoe’s Room welcomes acclaimed saxophonist George Coleman and The New Breed. This is the premiere live performance of Coleman’s first quintet ensemble in decades. 2. Mamaroneck Artist Guild's "Big, Bright & Bold" Large Works Show Reception on Saturday, June 28 from 3 to 5 p.m.

Celebrate the arrival of summer with colorful, imaginative art. 126 Larchmont Avenue. 

3. Chappaqua Library Presents Hillary Rodham Clinton on Sunday, June 29 at 1 p.m.

The former secretary of state, U.S. senator and First Lady will sign copies of her newest book, "Hard Choices," in her hometown of Chappaqua. 4. Fire juggling and comedy troupe A Different Spin at Sleepy Hollow's Philipsburg Manor on Saturday, June 28 at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m.; Sunday, June 29 at 7:30 p.m.

Featuring six flame-wielding, fire-eating performers twisting and turning, juggling and dancing, spinning and sword fighting, this event is perfect for all ages and guaranteed to have you talking about it long after the fire’s extinguished. Seating is limited and advance tickets are required. 5. DJ Workshop at White Plains' WCC Center for the Digital Arts on Saturday, June 28 at 1 p.m.

Join exhibiting artist and WCC’s Center for the Digital Arts Director Sherry Mayo for a session of music mixing and sharing. Workshops are free (suggested donation of $5). RSVPs requested here. 31 Mamaroneck Avenue.
