On Friday, Nov. 13, at around 1:25 p.m., police were called to the area of 125 Park St., in Gardner.

A woman reported that while she was walking a four-door, silver sedan passed her slowly, appearing to be lost, Gardner Police said. The vehicle went out of sight, then reversed directions and stopped across from the woman and shouted to her, police said.

The male driver asked the woman to come to his vehicle stating he couldn’t hear her. When she moved closer, the driver made another comment and the woman declined to continue the conversation, police said.

The woman attempted to walk away when the suspect allegedly reached out of the car’s window and grabbed the woman’s shirt. The woman was able to free herself and run to safety, police said. She was not injured, police said.

The suspect is a “pale” white man, about 20-30 years old, heavyset, clean-shaven, and with brown hair in a buzz cut, police said.

No similar incidents have been reported since, police said.

Gardner Police are investigating the incident and are seeking witnesses. If someone has information related to the incident, they are asked to contact the police at (978) 632-5600.
