Higher Aims Program Honors Role Models At New Rochelle Gala

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The Foundation of Westchester Clubmen will host its 56th annual Founders' Gala on Friday, May 29, to benefit the foundation's Higher Aims Program.

The Higher Aims Program is an after-school curriculum that focuses on academic and cultural enrichment and leadership development for young African-American and Latino men.

The gala will take place at the Surf Club, 280 Davenport Avenue, New Rochelle.

The gala will be attended by elite professionals of all industries and local dignitaries and this year, The Foundation of Westchester Clubmen will honor three astounding role models. 

The honorees are Phylicia Rashad, actor and director; Kevin Liles, founder and chief executive officer, of KWL Enterprises; and Disturbin Tha Peace founders Chris 'Ludacris' Bridges, Chaka Zulu and Jeff Dixon.

“The Higher Aims Program influenced me by showing me my culture and history and those of other people. The program has also let me experience things that are beyond high school. Things I could not have done without the Westchester Clubmen Support," said Elizaul Baez, Higher Aims member, White Plains High School.

The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and cocktails are at 8 p.m. Dinner, with a menu curated by chef Roble, will be included, along with the awards program, followed by dancing.
