Daniel Cabrera gave out turkeys at his North 8th Street business, Impressions Signs, to families in need.

Cabrera received the turkeys as a donation from Ray Cruz, a New Jersey state trooper. Cabrera said he met Cruz through a mutual friend and told him he knew plenty of people in Prospect Park who could use some help.

"Being able to serve as a channel to help in any way we can, it feels good," Cabrera told Daily Voice. "It's a great feeling and I encourage everybody, whatever you can do, [do it]."

Cabrera, a lieutenant in the fire department, said he will give out turkeys until they run out and will be at the store until it closes at 6 p.m.
