NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. Sound Shore Medical Center will offer free prostate screenings on Sept. 24 as part of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.
Health evaluations will be performed by Dr. Stephen Trauzzi, Sound Shore chief of urology and medical center support staff.
Pre-registration is required. Call Barbara Rohonczy at 914-365-3754. Appointments are limited, and are available on a first-call, first-served basis.
The American Cancer Society recommends that men age 50 and over get screened so they know their score, the center said. Men at high risk should begin screening at age 45.
Participants who want a fast, and personal referral to one of Sound Shores Medical Centers internists or specialists, should call the medical doctors line at 914-637-5463. That number can also be called for additional information.
