The shows are on four consecutive Thursdays. "Bring friends, a picnic, and a blanket or lawn chair -- and be sure to wear your dancing shoes," organizers note.

Zero 360 kicks off the series this Thursday. This contemporary band performs a wide variety of music, from Motown and funk to modern hits.

On July 28, Eli Fountain will perform with Baba Don & Equinox, bringing the sounds of smooth jazz. Some of these musicians have performed with notables including the Temptations, Whitney Houston and Aretha Franklin.

The Nanny Assis Trio comes to the Library Green on Aug. 4, and it will bring the sounds of the samba, Brazilian jazz standards and more.

Los Hacheros round out the series on Aug. 11. This group of five "draws on charaga and salsa to create a sound distinctly their their own," organizers note.

All four performances begin at 7 p.m., at Ruby Dee Park, on the Library Green. In case of rain, the shows will move to the Ossie Davis Theater of the New Rochelle Public Library.

This concert series is a partnership of the New Rochelle Downtown Business Improvement District, New Rochelle Parks and Recreation, and the New Rochelle Public Library.
