Football Hall Of Famer Speaks At New Rochelle Sports Workshop

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Former New York Giants linebacker Harry Carson is scheduled to speak at New Rochelle High School tomorrow.

The Pro Football Hall of Fame member  will speak about promoting student leadership through sports.

The school and New York University are co-sponsoring a workshop for coaches, parents and players titled “The Other Side of Coaching: Creating a Positive Culture in Athletics” from 4:30-6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 24.

It will take place in the school’s Whitney Young Auditorium, located at 265 Clove Road.

Topics to be addressed at the workshop include: promoting leadership skills; managing hazing, bullying and disrespectful behavior; tools and techniques for fostering positive mindsets among players; and collaborating with parents.
