Fare Walk In New Rochelle Raising Funds For Food Allergy Research

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – The Food Allergy Research & Education Walk in Westchester will be held on Sunday, Sept. 21 at Glen Island Park, located at 1 Pelham Rd., New Rochelle.

Registration and check-in will be held from 1-2 p.m. A walk ceremony will take place at 2 p.m. and the walk will begin immediately following the ceremony. The event will take place rain or shine. 

The FARE walk raises critical funds to find a cure and to increase awareness about food allergies. The 2013 FARE Walk raised $3.6 million for food allergy research, education, awareness and advocacy

Lee Goldberg, chief meteorologist for WABC-TV Eyewitness News and father of a child with food allergies, will serve as the FARE Walk's emcee. Internationally recognized food allergy expert Dr. Hugh Sampson will be an honored guest and speaker. Dr. Sampson, director of the Jaffe Food Allergy Institute at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, also serves as chairman of FARE’s Medical Advisory Board.
