A judge set bail at $500,000 yesterday for William Joseph Slaughter in connection with two violations of a court order that he not have unsupervised contact with anyone under 18. He was being held in the Bergen County Jail.

Slaughter had been free on $350,000 bail since Oct. 9 following his July 5 arrest.

Authorities initially charged him with luring the boy to his home that day.

They added child sex assault counts after interviewing the youngster’s sister, who they said he had supervised during open gym sessions at the borough recreation center earlier this year (SEE: Leonia per diem recreation employee charged with luring boy, 6, having sex with girl, 13).

The teen told Special Victims Unit detectives that he’d had sex with her at least twice, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinellil said at the time.
