Jennings is set to present the second part of the two-session lecture at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 24 at the Ossie Davis Theater of the New Rochelle Public Library.
"With live and recorded musical accompaniment, Professor Jennings will explore the music and lyrics of the incomparable Stephen Sondheim," representatives said in a news release. "From his earliest days, including West Side Story and Gypsy, to his greatest (Company, Follies, Sunday in the Park with George, A Little Night Music) and not-as-successful subjects (Assassins, Merrily We Roll Along)."
The public is encouraged to arrive early, as seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The program is made possible by the Friends of the New Rochelle Public Library. A donation of $2 is suggested at the door.
