NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Westchester's 2016 Bark for Life will kick off with a dinner at New Rochelle's Modern Restaurant and Lounge on Jan. 11.
Grand Marshal Abbie, a golden retriever, cancer survivor and therapy dog, will attend the party to do agility exercises and an obedience demonstration with owner Mike Jones.
Bark for Life is a noncompetitive walk event for dogs, owners and animal lovers to raise funds and awareness for the American Cancer Society
This year's Bark for Life takes place April 10 at Lyndhurst in Tarrytown.
