Dennis Nardone Discusses Growing Up in New Rochelle's West End

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Dennis Nardone will discuss the neighborhood of West New Rochelle in celebration of Italian Heritage and Cultural Month at the New Rochelle Library's Ossie Davis Theater on Oct. 17 from 3 to 5 p.m. 

Nardone will speak from his personal experiences growing up in the 1950s and '60s in the predominantly Italian-American community.

His self-published book "Growing Up in the West End of New Rochelle, New York in the 50’s-60’s: My Life, My Neighborhood" will be avaialble for purchase at the event. Proceeds from book sales will benefit the upkeep of St. Joseph's Church. 

Residents of all ages are invited to share their memories and photographs of growing up in the neighborhood at the free presentation.
