A fun-filled day of outdoor activities, music, entertainment and strawberry treats, the event will take place between noon and 5 p.m. on Maura Lawn, on the New Rochelle Campus at 29 Castle Place. Admission is free; however there is a charge for food, games, and rides.

Events will include face painting, a sports challenge, a photo booth, a bouncy house for the little ones and many more attractions! New activities include: a caricature artist, photo booth, bungee run (inflatable two-person game), ball pond (for little ones), adrenaline rush obstacle course (giant inflatable obstacle course for adults), and inflatable skeeball.

Fourth Generation DJ will provide music and there will be a vendor fair to satisfy shoppers and browsers alike. Other entertainment will include performances by CNR students, dance classes and student groups.

Refreshments for sale will include chocolate-covered strawberries, strawberry slushies, and strawberry shortcake, as well as hot dogs, hamburgers, cotton candy, popcorn and snow cones.

The Strawberry Festival, which began in 1972, is the single largest event organized with the help of the College’s undergraduates. The concept of the Strawberry Festival originated in the Midwest during the 1890s as an American festival celebrating the ripening of strawberries, the blooming of lilacs, and the coming of summer.
