College Of New Rochelle Hosts Leaf Mulching Demonstration

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- The College of New Rochelle will host a mulch mowing workshop at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 23 on the Maura Lawn in conjunction with the city of New Rochelle’s “Love ‘Em and Leave ‘Em” campaign to encourage mulching.

A series of demonstrations arranged by the city of New Rochelle will inform the community about the new ordinance requiring homeowners to either mulch mow, bag, or mulch the leaves on their property.

The mulch mowing demonstration will take place on a small swath of lawn, followed by discussion about the benefits as well as a question and answer session.
