2 Men Wanted For Theft Of Newark Truck Batteries

A warrant has been issued for the arrest of two Newark men wanted for stealing truck batteries, authorities said.

Virgil Green 55, and Darryl Green, 52, are each facing a charge of burglary for the Nov. 17 incident,  Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose said.

Police responded to 699 Springfield Ave., the parking lot of the Salvation Army, where three semi-commercial truck batteries and a forklift battery were stolen from a rental truck parked overnight at the location, Ambrose said.

Detectives investigating the incident identified Virgil Green and Darryl Green as suspects and obtained a warrant for each of their arrest. 

Virgil is described as 5’11” tall and 150 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. Darryl is described as 6’1” tall and 175 pounds, also with gray hair and brown eyes.
