A Cappella Group Helps Ease New Rochelle's Morning Commute With Song

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Commuters at the New Rochelle train station received a great send off to work Tuesday morning with a performance by Out of the Blue, Oxford University's all-male a cappella singing and dancing group.

Out of the Blue will perform Tuesday night at New Rochelle High School.

Riders were treated to the performance from 7:40 to 8:10 a.m. as a warm-up for the group's show Tuesday night in the Linda Kelly Theatre at New Rochelle High School.

The group, which takes the stage at 7:30 p.m., has performed in the West End (London's theater district) and on Broadway, reached the semifinals of "Britain's Got Talent," and toured the world including Switzerland, France, India, Hong Kong, and Japan. Admission is $15. 

The performance is sponsored by the New Rochelle Fund for Educational Excellence and the New Rochelle Council on the Arts.
