Submit Youth Summer Employment Applications In New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Applications are being taken for youth employment summer programs, according to a New Rochelle Youth Bureau announcement.

The following are offered:

  • Network Youth Leadership Program, ages 14 to 17, $180 stipend for 20-hour per week program for six weeks. Fifty-five (55) percent of participants must meet income eligibility guidelines. Partly funded by local CDBG program through the Department of Development.
  • Summer Internship, ages 18 to 21, $9 per hour/5 hours per day. There is no income eligibility required. Funded by New York State Office of Children & Family Service.
  • Summer Youth Employment, ages 14 to 18, $9 per hour/5 hours her day. Supported by Westchester/Putnam Local Workforce Investment Board. All must meet TANF income guidelines.

Applications are available 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday at the Youth Bureau office, 515 North Ave., New Rochelle.
