The new store will feature 16 rotating flavors of premium frozen yogurt, along with a fully loaded toppings bar and frozen yogurt novelties, including cakes and fro-yo cookie sandwiches.

“Frozen yogurt is all about fun, friends and family and our premium, delicious flavors and toppings are going to raise the bar for fro-yo in New Rochelle,” Bruce Zakalik, franchise partner and owner of the new 16 Handles, said in a statement. “New Rochelle is such a fantastic town, and we’re excited to bring our concept across the river to create a new gathering spot for the community.”

The store, a 1,200-square-foot space in the North Ridge Shopping Center, will create 25 new jobs.

Launched in 2008, the company has grown to 35 locations across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Maryland and Florida and forecasts that stores will be open in more than 40 stores by the end of the year.

Committed to sustainability, 16 Handles uses biodegradable packaging and spoons, and each store plants 16 trees per day through a partnership with Trees for the Future.

The New Rochelle 16 Handles will be at 77 Quaker Ridge Road. Store hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
