Kraft-Heinz Departure Will Cause Big Tax Hit To Westchester

TARRYTOWN, N.Y. — When Kraft-Heinz eventually closes its offices in Westchester County, it will take with it about $800,000 in tax revenue and 130 jobs, according to a story on lohud.com.

Kraft, which merged with Berkshire Hathaway-controlled H.J. Heinz Co. earlier this year to become Kraft-Heinz, recently eliminated 2,500 jobs across North America as part of the merger. Closing Tarrytown is part of the company's effort to centralize research and development operations, company spokesman Michael Mullen said in the lohud.com story.

Mullen said the timing of the closure has not yet been determined, the story said.
