Habitat For Humanity Opens Christmas Pop-Up Shop In New Rochelle

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Christmas has come early in New Rochelle, as the local branch of Habitat for Humanity opened up the first ever pop-up Christmas Shop at the Re-Store location on Main Street.

While many are looking forward to Thanksgiving this week, Santa Claus had other plans, taking the trek to New Rochelle to open up the city’s first holiday destination on historic Main Street.

The grand opening of the Christmas Shop coincides with the beginning of the first annual Shop Main Street Week, which runs through Thanksgiving on Thursday.

“I was honored when Mr. Claus himself, asked me to open up this shop,” Habitat for Humanity of Westchester CEO Jim Killoran said. “We at Habitat just want the community to come together, and we feel this Christmas Shop will do just that.

“The true heart and soul of Main Street lies within the small businesses, the people and its rich history.”
