From The Mayor: New Rochelle Restaurant Reviewed In The New York Times

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Arepa Mania, a recently opened restaurant on North Avenue, has received a rave review from the New York Times.

Steve Reddicliffe, the Times reviewer, described various menu items as "generously filled," "savory" and "lively."

The review, which came to the attention of New Rochelle Mayor Noam Bramson, is the second time the Times has visited North Avenue in recent months. In March, Reddicliffe wrote highly of Pepe's Place at 560 North Ave.

In his more recent review, Reddicliffe praised Arepa Mania's arepas, fried empanadas, patacon (plantain sandwiches), and pepitos (Venezuelan hero sandwiches).
