Six acclaimed artists specializing in the genre are among the highlights at the first exhibition in the new MODHArts Gallery of Contemporary Realism at 43 Westchester Place in New Rochelle. Works of art will feature everything from classic American automobiles to new age pastel color designs for art buffs.
Artists whose works will be feature include Mark Jacobson, Oksana Tanasiv and local product Susan Nagib. Maryanna Oliynyk, who founded MODHArts with David Humphrey in 2010, said that this is just the beginning for the gallery.
“We are so excited to debut this amazing gallery of contemporary realism right here in New Rochelle,” Humphrey said. “We have six incredible artists ready for the first exhibition in the new gallery.”
The MODHArts Gallery of Contemporary Realism isn’t the only new upgrade for the studio, which has also added an artisan boutique that will offer homemade crafts on a rotating basis for art aficionados.
We have assembled a group of artists to exhibit one incredible exhibition,” Oliynyk said. “We want this amazing art event to be the talk of the community.”
MODHArts has scheduled a gallery opening from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 18. Thereafter, the gallery will be open from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays, and until 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. Admission is free.
