Anthony J. Enea Chosen For Judge Daronco Distinguished Award

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Elder law attorney Anthony J. Enea will be honored at the Columbian Lawyers Association of Westchester 33rd Annual Dinner Dance at The Fountainhead, 55 Quaker Ridge Road. in New Rochelle on Friday, June 17.

Enea, managing partner of Enea, Scanlan and Sirignano, of White Plains, with the Honorable Richard J. Daronco Distinguished Service Award. Proceeds from the dinner dance will help support the non-profit’s scholarship program, which awards thousands annually to deserving Italian-American law students. 

The association presents scholarships from the Generoso Pope Foundation, the Honorable Francis A. Nicolai Scholarship, the Carl A. Vergari Scholarship, and the Josephine and Anthony DiFiore Memorial Scholarship, among many others. 

The Daronco Distinguished Service Award, named for the late justice of the state Supreme Court in Westchester County. Daronco sat on the bench of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York at the time of his murder in 1988 at his Pelham home. The service award named in his honor recognizes an association member who, like Daronco, has served as an outstanding example and asset to the Italian-American community. 

Named Westchester County’s Leading Elder Care Attorney at the Above the Bar Awards, Enea has spent three decades protecting the rights of seniors, the disabled and their families. He has been a member of the Columbian Lawyers Association of Westchester County since 1990 and currently serves as second vice president. Enea was named Best Lawyers’ 2016 Elder Law “Lawyer of the Year” in White Plains and is a Top 25 “Super Lawyer” in Westchester County. He is president of the Westchester County Bar Foundation and a past president of the Westchester County Bar Association.
